The Greenhills Community Benevolent Society Inc was formed to provide benevolent assistance to people residing within the Loch, Poowong, Bena, Nyora and surrounding communities. Greenhills Community Benevolent Society Inc was formed in 2006 when the Greenhills Hostel for the Aged was closed. The society was formed in recognition of the contribution that the people of the surrounding communities had made to the Greenhills Hostel for the Aged and to continue to benefit the people of these communities.
In recognition of the history of Greenhills Community Benevolent Society and to provide an ongoing commitment to aged care, the committee has made an annual contribution to a local aged care facility.
The Greenhills Community Benevolent Society Inc is run by a volunteer Board of Management made up of people from the local communities. We meet on the third Wednesday of every month.
